It's spring, so now is the time to plan on stocking your pond with New Hampshire-raised, disease-free rainbow or brook trout. The Merrimack County Conservation District is offering trout for pond stocking in lengths of 6 to 8 inches and 10 to 12 inches as part of its spring fundraiser to support local conservation. Orders are due May 2. The 6 to 8-inch trout are available in oxygenated bags of 25, ready for pickup on May 15 between 1 and 1:30 p.m. at the Concord Center. The 10 to 12-inch trout (minimum order of 50) will be delivered directly to your pond. Please contact MCCD at 223-6023 or visit the website merrimackccd.org for details or for an order form.
