Spring cleaning

The Penacook Historical Society wants to help residents with their spring cleaning. If anyone comes across historical photographs or items that relate to the history of Penacook while they clean out their homes, attics, or barns, the PHS would love to add to its collection of items from Penacook's history.

If you have a photograph that you do not want to part with, the Penacook Historical Society would be glad to have a copy made to add to its historical photo collection.

The Penacook Historical Society is cataloging its large collection of artifacts with software and curatorial materials purchased with a generous grant from the Bagan Foundation. Volunteers are needed to assist in the cataloging and the Society is willing to train interested inpiduals.

If you want to learn more about the Penacook Historical Society, you are welcome to attend its potluck dinner and program on May 11 at 6 p.m. at the Rolfe House across the street from the Rolfe Barn at 11 Penacook St., Penacook. Please bring a dish to share and your own place setting. The program is “Ironing Things Out – Exploring Antique Flat Irons,” with Carol Foss. For more information or to donate an artifact, contact PHS President Rick Jaques at 770-3226 or visit penacookhistoricalsociety.com.
