Apply for grants

March 4 is the deadline to apply for two distinct New Hampshire State Council on the Arts' grant programs: Artist Residencies in Schools Grants and the New Hampshire Arts in Education Artist Roster.

Artist Residencies in Schools Grants bring professional artists into public schools, grades K – 12. They help provide students with a well-rounded education in the arts, developing their imaginations, creativity and innovation skills. The March 4 deadline is for projects taking place between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012.

The New Hampshire Arts in Education Artist Roster lists professional artists with experience or training that relates to working in classroom, school and other educational settings. The roster serves as a resource for educators seeking Artist in Residencies School Grants.

For more information about applying for either program, contact Catherine O'Brian, New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, at 271-0795 or catherine.r.obrian@dcr.nh.gov. Applications must be postmarked on or before March 4 or delivered to the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, 2½ Beacon St., Suite 225, by 4:15 p.m. on March 4.
