Concord's rich and famous stripped down to the skivvies and sat on a chair of ice over the weekend to raise money for the Special Olympics of New Hampshire.
The event, dubbed Concord's Coolest – On Ice, brought in over $2,000 and will support the ice-sitting team, which will plunge into the Atlantic Ocean next weekend. Local Special Olympics athletes were there to lend a hand, leading sitters through the Special Olympics oath, helping with raffles and entertaining the crowd with an Elvis impersonation, according to Kim Murdoch, the event's organizer.
A handful of hunkettes (you know, the ones made famous thanks to the Insider) were on hand to collect money from a crowd of hungry bidders who paid to see the team strip down.
And, since we know you're dying to figure out who raised the most money (and who had to strip down the furthest), here's a list proped by Murdoch:
• Nik Coates …………….$120
• Dan Andrus ………. …$219
• Jon Fogg ……………… $120
Mark Ciborowski …. $200
Katy Brown-Solsky… $160
Joe Wright……………….$170
Kim Murdoch…………. $200
Matt Walsh……………… $180
Mike DelloIacono……..$240
Corey Casey…………….$170
. . . and last but certainly not least, our illustrious Mayor Jim Bouley brought in a staggering $260. Way to go, Concord.
