Six banner murals made of glass mosaic tiles were recently installed at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, 2 Institute Drive, thanks to the Percent for Art Program. The program, enacted by the Legislature, ensures that all forms of visual arts and crafts have an integral and important role in state construction projects.
Each mural features a cosmic-themed quote by famous inpiduals including Harriet Tubman, Vincent Van Gogh and Carl Sagan.
