Just say yes!

The YES (Youth Environmental Service) Team (formerly the Green Team) is looking for high school students who are interested in tackling environmental issues in our community. Students will identify local environmental challenges, find solutions and engage the community in projects for a positive change.

The YES team is a partner with the Gulf of Maine Institute, an umbrella of youth groups working on environmental protection all across the Gulf of Maine. This creates some opportunities for regional projects such as a water monitoring project along the Merrimack river in collaboration with the Lowell and Newburyport GOMI teams. However, we also want to work on projects that directly affect the Concord area such as working with the Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Committee to expand its bike sharing program and raise awareness about alternative transportation. The projects we work on will be up to you!

We're recruiting students to create a community based service group. It's a great opportunity to combine community service with your interest in the environment, meet others, improve your leadership skills, possibly gain high-school credit and have some fun while creating change in the Concord area! For more information, contact Deandra Perruccio at 856-8837 or dperruccio@plustime.org.
