To kick off the 10th anniversary of Concord TV, Gov. John Lynch has proclaimed the month of August 2009 as Concord Community Television month.
Here's the proclamation Lynch read:
Whereas, Concord Community Television is a nonprofit organization, incorporated in 1998, to manage Concord's community television center and its three channels: 6, 17 and 22: and
Whereas, Concord Community Television provides an on-air community bulletin board for local groups and nonprofit organizations to publicize meetings and events; and
Whereas, Concord Community Television offers live coverage of Concord City Council, Planning Board, Zoning Board and School Board Meetings; and
Whereas, Concord Community Television offers classes on camera, editing, and studio production; and
Whereas, Concord Community Television is a resource for citizens looking for coverage of community events;
Now, Therefore, I, John H. Lynch, Governor of the State of New Hampshire, do hereby proclaim August 2009 as Concord Community Television Month and encourage all citizens to join me in recognizing Concord Community Television as a resource for New Hampshire citizens.
Congratulations, Concord TV! You deserve the recognition. In fact, we're going to celebrate Concord Community Television month right now with an ice cream cone.
