You might be asking yourself right now who Ron Ford is. Because we favor enlightenment around here, we're going to tell you. Well, his daughter, Kathryn Ford, is going to tell you:
“Ron is a Concord native who was public works director from the late '60s into the early '80s. Bev (Ed. – That's Ron's wife, Beverly) did many things, including being secretary to a former speaker of the house. They moved to Florida after retirement. Bev has always played the violin and Ron became a valuable volunteer librarian with the Gulf Coast Symphony. He won the right to conduct in an auction but does not play any instrument himself. He and Bev come to Concord every summer because both have children in the area and many friends from their working days.”
Ron, we are duly impressed by your performance (it took place in February 2008, if anyone's wondering) and thrilled that your daughter chose our humble publication for your paparazzi photos. Uh . . . okay, family mementos.
Think of us when you're back in warm, sunny Florida.
