Have you ever attended a going away party for crime? We have.
On Aug. 4 from 5 to 9 p.m., the Concord Police Department's National Night Out and Safety Fair was held at Rollins Park. The free annual event promotes cooperation between the police and the community and included such awesomeness as $5 all-you-can-eat pizza courtesy of Domino's Pizza, free balloons for the kiddies blown up by Target employees, music by DJ Tim Patoine, information booths, youth activities and so much more.
Since there's not a whole lot more to say except that it was a beautiful night, everyone was in good spirits and my $1 hot dog was the most delicious hot dog I've eaten this summer so far – we're leaving you with some photos to show you how much fun we had on our big night out.
