Join staff and volunteers at the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, 545 Route 101, Bedford, for the league's annual Kitten Shower on July 25, from noon to 5 p.m. Speak with one of the league's foster families, meet kittens of all ages, learn about kitten development and behavior, enjoy the volunteer-run bake sale, check out the great raffle items and possibly adopt a kitten on that day! Each shower participant will receive a favor and we ask that attendees consider bringing a “shower gift” for our four-legged babies. Current needs are: clay cat litter and dry and canned kitten food.
The league has been inundated with cats in 2009. Quite a few surrenders are due to the fact that owners cannot afford their pet or are having accidental litters due to lack of funds to alter their animal. Consider making a donation at the kitten shower or in lieu of attending. Donations can be made at rescueleague.org. Click on “Make a Donation” and enter “kitten shower” on the designation line.
