Cheryl Sanderson of Concord was the lucky winner of the handmade quilt at this year's Capital Quilters Guild quilt show, “Together We Quilt,” held April 24-26 at NHTI. Here are some people to be jealous of: Kay Vasey of Concord took home a Janome sewing machine donated by Bittersweet Fabrics in Boscawen, and Donna Welcome of Boscawen won 365 fat quarters (you must be in fabric heaven, Donna!).
The Capital Quilters Guild holds a show every two years as a fundraiser and to display its members' work. Monthly meetings are held on the second Friday of the month at Havenwood-Heritage Heights, 33 Christian Ave. New members are always welcome.
