The Granite State Postcard Collectors Club is holding its annual spring postcard show and sale on June 7 at the Holiday Inn, 172 N. Main St. Over a million postcards will be offered by dealers from all six New England states plus New York. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with an 8:30 a.m. early entry for members. A $2 donation is suggested for admission.
Last year's show set an attendance record at this location. Recent New England area shows have been well attended and the club is looking forward to having another successful show this year. The club's annual dues are only $10 for a single and $15 per couple. You can join at the door and get into the show a half hour early!
The club meets at the Unitarian Church on Central Street in Franklin on the third Saturday of each month except June, July and August. Newbies are always welcome, and there's a wealth of information and knowledge to be gained from the veterans on hand. There are always people who bring cards to sell, whether it be a handful or a whole table full. There are also many collectors looking to find that one treasure to add to their collection and dealers looking to buy entire collections and accumulations. There is no admission charge to attend a meeting.
