Finally, a conversation starter that has gotten you people going! Two weeks ago, we asked Concord if Manchester is Manch-Vegas, what does that make Concord? Last week, Jean Richards told us that she always knew our beloved city as C-town. We then jokingly suggested Concun (as in Cancun), but Barb Higgins, Concord High track and field coach and teacher, apparently wanted none of that:

I just read the letter from one of my former track parents regarding an alternative name for Concord. C-Town it most definitely is! Not only did we have “safety green” T-shirts with bright pink lettering declaring our “C-Town Love,” to this very day, all CHS track and cross- country girls own a pair of C-Town spandex for those chilly days when bare legs just won’t do.
Manch-Vegas, Trashua, C-Town . . . it is what it is . . . Concun is just not where it is at. Ask anyone!
I will bring my C-Town clothing to school tomorrow and snap a photo for you and you can own your very own pair of C-Town Spandex for a mere $25. I have 30 pairs in the back of my car.
