National volunteer week is April 20 through April 24. The senior centers of the Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties are honoring all of our dedicated and remarkable volunteers who support our mission of promoting the physical, emotional and economic well-being of older adults and promoting their participation in all aspects of community life.
The senior centers are rich with volunteers. We will be celebrating and recognizing these devoted inpiduals during volunteer week.
Our theme this year is, “Volunteers, Our Everyday Heroes.” Please join us in thanking them for their notable contributions, which includes a whopping total of 24,569 volunteer hours for the last year! If you are one of our many dedicated volunteers, please accept our sincere gratitude. Your investment of time, energy and skills truly is fundamental to the senior centers.
On Thursday, April 23, eight senior centers of Belknap and Merrimack Counties and Horseshoe Pond Place Senior Resource Center will celebrate their accomplishments with a special program and reception. If you are not a volunteer but have some interest in becoming one, please speak to the senior center director in your area.
