Get ready . . . it's Telefest time!!!!

This is the last issue of the Concord Insider before the Concord TV fifth annual Arts Telefest takes place on Sunday, March 29, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

For that reason, it's the last opportunity in this publication that we will have to tap everyone in the area on the shoulder who supports the arts and say, “Hey! Don't miss this 12 hour, live, exposition of the arts that will shine the spotlight on some of the most talented performers, visual artists, authors, and musicians in the Concord region, and beyond!”

We've been sending along some “sneak peeks” for the past few weeks, and this week we've chosen to let you know about the opening and ending of the Telefest. It opens with a musical preview from the Community Players of Concord and their upcoming production of “The Full Monty.” It will end with a dramatic punch with a piece from Nashua Theatre Guild's production of “The Elephant Man.”

In between, you'll see everything from ballroom dancing, chorales, piano solos and opera, to painters, potters, sculptors, authors, poets and folk ensembles. They all represent more than 20 arts organizations in the region. The best thing is that it's open to the public and it's free. The public can enjoy it by tuning in to Concord TV's channels 22 or 6; seeing it streamed live on our website, yourconcordtv.org; or the best way to experience the Arts Telefest is to drop by anytime during the day and see it in person on the Concord High School auditorium stage.

Our pick for families with kids: Beaver Meadow School students will be performing live from 11:50 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. They have a great showcase to present that should be very entertaining for younger folks.
