Dear Tweens, Is it ever okay to tell your parents they are dressed badly? How should you do it? What do they wear that embarrass you?
Jacob Bemis
Dear Insider,
It’s sometimes okay to tell your parents they look bad. It’s because you don’t want people making fun of your parents. Telling them is showing them how honest you are. Tell them to change in a positive way. Parents should just wear something normal, so they LOOK normal and everyone stays happy.
P.S. If my parents get mad at me . . . again . . . don’t blame me, blame the questions.

Dear Concord Insider,
It’s me, Seimou, AKA Shampoo!
I don’t think it’s okay to tell your parents that their clothing is bad because they are your parents and they have the right. I wouldn’t like it if they told me that I couldn’t wear what I like. If you’re going to tell them, you should suggest what you think looks good on them. My mom wears clothing that is stylish. I don’t need to tell her it’s bad because it looks good.

I think it is okay to tell your parents that they dress badly because they’re your parents and I don’t really think they would care. They would just dress their own way anyway. I would just say to my parents that they need to change. Usually my parents listen to me. My parents don’t wear anything that would embarrass me, but if they did wear something wild to the stores, I would never go with them again. But my parents wouldn’t embarrass me.

Yes, I think it is okay to tell your parents that they dress badly. You could say, “Mom/Dad can I pick out your clothes?” My mom actually dresses very nicely and I am proud to be seen with her. Sometimes I ask her if I can pick her clothes out for some stuff, but usually she asks me if her outfit looks good.
Sincerely,
Kassi Happenny

No! No! No! No! No!
Parents are there just to annoy you with their silly sense of style. Never tell your parents they aren’t dressed right. Just live with it!

It is okay to tell your parents that they are badly dressed, but you have to do it nicely. You should just mention that their outfit doesn’t match or that something is wrong with it. My mom would tell me the same thing. I feel sorry for other kids when they are with weirdly-dressed parents. It must be embarrassing.
