If you're on school vacation or just need an excuse to get outside, why not head over to the lovely village of Penacook for a little scavenger hunt fun?
Not only will you get some fresh air, you could also time your visit around lunch and get a sub at Chief's Place. On your way home, stop at McDonald's for a McFlurry to reward yourself for your seek-and-find efforts. Can you think of a better way to spend an hour or two? Because we can't.
Here's the deal: There are 12 items for you to locate in downtown Penacook, from the corner of Washington and Main streets to the bridge. Everything is visible from the sidewalk, so there's no need to meander down the side streets unless you feel like exploring.
Find the items, write down the location (a business name or address will do), and e-mail your answers to news@theconcordinsider.com. You can also mail answers to The Concord Insider, P.O. Box 1177, Concord NH 03302-1177.
If you correctly identify the location of 11 out of 12 items, we'll enter your name into a drawing for a $20 gift certificate to Constantly Pizza.
