Artistic Roots cooperative presents the fifth annual “Souper Bowl” dining event on Jan. 31, at the gallery in Campton. Diners will have an opportunity to tour the gallery while enjoying all-you-can-eat soups, bread, crackers, beverages and desserts. The event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tickets, which include your choice of bowls, are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event.
When you buy a ticket, you may have your choice of a variety of ceramic bowls and hand-painted bowls which are made by local artisans. Participants will enjoy an array of soups donated by local restaurants such as The Sunset Room (Owl's Nest), Coyote Grill, Common Man, Diamond's Edge North Restaurant, Mountain Fare Inn, Mad River Tavern, Six Burner Bistro, William Tell, The Stix, and Campton Falls Marketplace. Diners will have a chance to vote for their favorite soups and the restaurants that make the first-, second- and third-place soups will be awarded certificates.
There will also be a raffle of items donated by each artist in the cooperative. Raffle tickets are $1 each or $5 for six. Both the Souper Bowl tickets and the raffle tickets are on sale now. Hurry in for the best selection of bowls! In the past the event has been a sell out, so get your tickets soon.
The proceeds from the Souper Bowl support the art education programs of Artistic Roots, a cooperative art center that brings the local community and artists together in a celebration of creativity through exhibits, classes, gallery receptions and community events.
The gallery is located at the Campton Falls Marketplace intersection at 441 NH Route 49.
