Being funny can make money

CATCH Neighborhood Housing hosted the hilarious Capitol Steps at the 15th annual CATCH comedy night on Jan. 10, raising more than $30,000 to support hardworking local families with quality, affordable homes.

The comic troupe from Washington, D.C., brought its unique brand of political satire to the Capitol Center of the Arts just in time to celebrate the end of the election season!

More than 100 CATCH supporters attended a reception before the show, which featured a silent auction. At the reception, CATCH presented Ignatius MacLellan, of the Northern New England Housing Investment Fund and a founding board member of CATCH, with the Housing Hero award for his many years of dedicated service to CATCH and commitment to CATCH's vision of a community where every person is confident of a home.

CATCH also awarded the Outstanding Business of the Year award to Nannu Nobis of Nobis Engineering for its dedicated assistance in working with CATCH to plan new affordable rental communities in Merrimack County.

Connie Boyles Lane accepted the Sustaining Supporter award on behalf of Orr & Reno for the firm's many years of support for CATCH's mission in their dedicated legal counsel.
